OgMentum goes far beyond traditional sales representation. We are an extension of your company's sales department, providing fiber optics product expertise and application knowledge from our sales engineers, insides sales staff, and product-peaked applications specialists. We specialize in representing principals with optical technologies, devices, components, modules, and instruments with customers and opportunities within the western US in the Telecom, Networking, CATV, and Aerospace and Defense markets.

OgMentum Western US Sales Representation Capabilities:
OgMentum is the manufacturers' representative in the western US for optical companies, for optical customers, and for customers with optical applications. Unlike traditional channels which share their resources, expertise, and time, between different markets and with unrelated products and customers, OgMentum focuses on fiber optics. Our sales engineers are peaked in optics. Our applications engineers provide the highest level of local technical support to customers, saving our principles resources, time and money without jeopardizing the business.

OgMentum is structured to give our principles the customer presence, technology depth, and application support that they would offer with a direct sales force; yet with a low, variable, cost-of-sales.

OgMentum supports our principals with the customer interface, and also with the business planning for the region. We provide regular sales forecasts, information regarding market or customer changes, and competitive insights.

OgMentum becomes a single-point of contact for our clients providing all of the executive and technical services expected from a sales director or regional sales manager. We are your variable cost direct sales force.







Jennifer Zhang, Sales Manager, Northern CA and surrounding regions

Jennifer Zhang

Jennifer Zhang has 12 years of experience in sales, technical marketing and product management including over 9 years in fiber optics. Jennifer worked as Sales and Product Manager for Bookham Inc. (previously Cierra Photonics), and previous to this, was a Product Manager at Hewlett- Packard/Agilent Technologies.

Jennifer holds a BSEE from San Jose State University, and is fluent in English and Chinese.


Harvey Spreckman, Sales Manager, Southern CA and surrounding regions

Harvey Spreckman has been managing sales and selling optical components, modules and Test & Measurement equipment since 1987. Companies that Harvey has worked for, and with, include, Hewlett- Packard/Agilent Technologies and Ortel. In addition, Harvey was a founder of two successful optical technology companies; Xoptix and Tsunami Optics.

Harvey has a BS from the University of IL and multiple patents in optics.

Sam Hickman; Sales Manager, Pacific Northwest and Mountain States

Sam Hickman

Sam Hickman has 25 years of experience at the intersection of technology and business. He has lead international marketing and sales activities at start-up companies and Fortune 100 leaders including Microsoft, Hewlett-Packard (later Agilent), Qpass (acquired by Amdocs), Kaidara Software, and Viquity. Conversant in English, French and German, Sam holds a BS degree in Physics from the University of Washington.


Jack Dupre, Application Engineering Manager

Jack Dupre has 20 years of experience in developing products and test methods for the fiber-optic industry. He joined Hewlett-Packard Co. in 1964 as a microwave development engineer and subsequently managed the development of RF and microwave sweep oscillators, spectrum analyzers, and lightwave instruments for both Hewlett-Packard and Agilent Technologies.

Jack holds a BSEL from California State Polytechnic University, San Luis Obispo, and an MSEE from Stanford University.

As part of his consulting activity, Jack is currently secretary for IEC Subcommittee 86C, Fibre optic systems and active devices, which develops international standards.

Felicitas ("Feli") Evard, Customer Support and Inside Sales Manager

Felicitas Evard

Felicitas Evard began her career doing research in the nuclear medicine department at the Kantonspital in Basel. Felicitas moved to California in the mid 90's and worked for several companies, doing water analysis for semiconductor manufacturers and testing software for analytical instruments at HP (now Agilent). She has broad experience in the use of analytical equipment, including capillary electrophoresis, gas chromatography and HPLC in the laboratory.

Felicitas has a degree in Analytical Chemistry from the University of Basel, in Basel, Switzerland. She grew up in Switzerland and is fluent in German, English and French.
