OgMentum is fortunate to benefit from a Business Advisory Board made up of fiber optic industry leaders who provide guidance, insight, and support to the operations of OgMentum. The Business Advisory Board strives to ensure that OgMentum is focused on the needs of the fiber optic industry, its participants, and OgMentum's customers.
Russ Johnson

Russ Johnson is currently a partner with KPLJ Ventures working with early stage companies focusing primarily on photonics and wireless devices and networks utilizing these devices. Russ previously served as the Senior Vice-President of Global Sales and Marketing for JDS Uniphase. Prior to JDS Uniphase Russ spent over 20 years with the Hewlett Packard Company (now Agilent Technologies) in a variety of marketing, operational, and international business roles. Russ has a BSEE from New Mexico State University and an MBA from Purdue University and serves on the boards of several private and public companies.
Dr. Hal Zarem

Hal Zarem is a technology executive with extensive experience at optical component and semiconductor companies. He was president and CEO of Silicon Light Machines (SLM) from 2003 to 2010. During this period SLM developed the OvationONSTM optical sensor (now a business unit at Cypress Semiconductor) and commercialized Grating Light Valve (GLVTM) technology for use in computer-to-plate printing and direct write lithography. In 2008 SLM was purchased by Dainippon Screen. Previously Dr. Zarem was vice president of marketing at JDSU and general manager at Ortel Corporation. Dr. Zarem earned a B.A. in physics from the University of California Berkeley, and M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in applied physics from the California Institute of Technology. He holds three patents and has published 34 technical papers.
Kunio Hasebe

Kunio Hasebe has 35 years of high-tech leadership experience including business process and culture changes that have significantly improved the performance of companies ranging from Fortune 50 to smaller start-ups. Kunio's experience includes leadership as general manager of Lightwave division (fiber-optic measurement solutions) at HP, general manager of field operations to serve communications industry, board member and representative director of a mid-size established company. Kunio has a BS and MS in Electrical Engineering from the University of Hawaii and was one of a select group of managers within HP to attend Stanford's Executive Program.
