Arden Photonics Ltd was founded in 2001 with the aim of developing, manufacturing and selling innovative products for the photonics industry in the UK and throughout the world. We also provide technical and marketing consultancy in the areas of optical fibre technology and optical metrology.

The company's headquarters are in the West Midlands of England. The name Arden derives from the Forest of Arden, an ancient oak forest which once covered a large area of central England including Stratford-upon-Avon, birthplace of William Shakespeare, the world-famous playwright. 

David Robinson, founder and Managing Director of Arden Photonics Ltd, has 20 years experience in the photonics industry. He has worked extensively in the design and marketing of equipment for optical fibre and laser makers and component manufacturers throughout the world. His experience also covers Test & Measurement of photonics components in both technical and commercial capacities.
