Aragón Photonics is recognized as a worldwide photonic technology leader for its ability to develop and offer innovative optical technologies. The company was established in October 2004 as a spin-off from the company Fibercom S.L. and benefits from continuous collaboration with leading academic and researching groups (GTF, TOYBA) at the University of Zaragoza, Spain.
Beginning in 2002, research in DWDM technologies and in non-linear effects in optical fibers led to the development of new high resolution techniques in the optical communications field based on Stimulated Brillouin Scatering (SBS). This technology continues to be important to the company.
