Antenna Remoting Solutions
GPS Antenna Remoting
Linear Photonics G-Link Antenna Remoting Fiber Optic Links provide low noise, long distance GPS signal transfer directly from the GPS Antenna/LNA to the receiver location.
G-Link Transmitters employ Low Noise Distributed Feedback (DFB) Lasers and operate over Single Mode Fiber, providing superior signal integrity and greater link length than can be achieved with coax or multimode fiber. They also provide additional lightning and EMI isolation between the antenna and the control center.
G-Link Transmitters provide 5 V DC output through the input RF port to power the antenna LNA. An optional integrated LNA is also available.
TimeLink GPS Fiber Optic Receivers are available as hot-swappable standard single-wide modules in Linear Photonics 19” IFL Rack platform, and are available with single, dual, or quad RF outputs for local distribution.
Outdoor Links
Linear Photonics provides state-of-the-art microwave links in outdoor enclosures for rapid deployment antenna remoting, rooftop mount, microwave links and sensor applications.
Frequency ranges up to 20 GHz and link lengths up to 25 km provide secure communications and signal transport with the benefits of low loss vs. length, EMI immunity and freedom from line-of-sight and atmospheric fade. There is also no need for either Local Oscillator distribution or frequency translation.
Linear Photonics’ DiLink (4 GHz) and XiMod (20 GHz) link products form the basis of these microwave links. These standard modules are incorporated into pole-mount or panel-mount enclosures that include RF amplification for tailoring the link dynamic range. Fiber bragg grating dispersion compensation maintains link performance for long-haul (up to 25 km).
Custom configurations are available for transmit or receive path. Transmit units also offer the option of providing LNA power through the RF input cable.
